Enable the options called AGP Master 1 WS Write and AGP Master 1 WS Read. Save the settings and exit. When you restart in Windows 2000/XP/2003, the sound card should be working properly. However, you might find that the sound will still drop out after a few hours, in which case you will need to try one of the other fixes.
If you have the Biostar M6VCG (MBD-VXB31X), none of the above steps are
necessary, just use a BIOS dated before October 2000 because the problem doesn't
occur. I would recommend an earlier BIOS anyway because the later BIOS versions
slow down memory performance greatly. E-mail me if you require a
compatible BIOS file, but please be aware that I will not be held responsible
for any damage done to your hardware as a result of it's use.
